Wedding Gown
Wedding gowns have traditionally been the centerpiece of most wedding ceremonies. Many of today's brides are still following the tradition of preserving their gowns for future generations. Following the ceremony, it is important to know that the sooner the gown is cleaned, preserved and packed away in a cool, dry place the better.
During the big day, a wedding gown may be introduced to mud, grass stains, motor oil (from parking lot), lipstick, champagne, cake, etc. Stains typically go unnoticed until the dress is taken from the closet a year or so later. You may discover that there are yellow or brown stains (caused by oxidation) or that holes have appeared in the fabric. Insects such as moths or silverfish are attracted to the sugar remnants left on the gown as well as some natural fibers such as linen and silk.
We specialize in cleaning all types and sizes of wedding gowns. Each gown is unique and may require one of many cleaning methods. Our expert cleaners have the knowledge and experience to dry clean or wet-clean your gown restoring it to its original form.
To preserve your heirloom for years to come you may elect to have the gown boxed for safe and secure storage. Your wedding gown will be packaged with Acid-Free tissue in an Acid-Free Bridal Keepsake Wedding Box. The Acid-Free environment will help preserve the integrity of the gown's fabrics while at the same time protecting the gown from oxidation.
